Getting Here

Tonglen Lake Lodge is located just seven miles south of the entrance to Denali National Park at milepost 230 on the George Parks Hwy #3, the main highway that connects Anchorage and Fairbanks. 

Self-Drive From Anchorage

(230 miles, allow 5.5 hours)

Drive North on George Parks Hwy #3 to milepost 230.

Simply turn East (Right) off the George Parks Hwy #3 at the milepost 230 onto OLD PARKS HWY.  Drive 100 yards and turn RIGHT at the larger rocks.  As you make the turn into the trees, you will see a metal sign for Tonglen Lake.  Stay RIGHT for 3/4 of a mile and drive straight up to the lodge.  ATTENTION:  Two way traffic on this one lane road

Self-Drive From Fairbanks:

(125 miles, allow 3 hours)

Drive South on George Parks Hwy #3 to milepost 230.

Simply turn East (Left) off the George Parks Hwy #3 at the milepost 230 onto OLD PARKS HWY.  Drive 100 yards and turn RIGHT at the larger rocks.  As you make the turn into the trees, you will see a metal sign for Tonglen Lake.  Stay RIGHT for 3/4 of a mile and drive straight up to the lodge. ATTENTION:  Two way traffic on this one lane road.
